Westhampton Middle School

The Quogue Union Free School District has earned the #1 spot in New York State for student proficiency in both math and English Language Arts (ELA), according to the latest assessment data released by the New York State Department of Education. Results from the 2023-2024 school year show that 98% of Quogue students in grades three through eight tested proficient in math, while 95% reached proficiency in ELA. These scores make Quogue the highest-performing district statewide in both subjects.Much praise to Jeffrey Ryvicker, Superintendent of Schools. He is a force for good, guiding the school and bringing the community together to achieve phenomenal results for the kids.Quogue is also the only district in New York to reach 90 percent or higher in math proficiency. The second-ranked district, Scarsdale in Westchester County, reported 88% proficiency.

This school really is a hidden asset to all of our east end children! I wish it continued through high school!
