All three of my children have attended here. It has small classroom sizes which is great for your child's individual needs to be met. The teachers go above and beyond. Very easy to get in touch with them. They raise any concerns or issues with your child straight away.My children love the familiarity of knowing everyone. It has a lovely community feel.

When a child walks into the Tuxedo Park School they do so with a confidence that is unmatched. From the day's first handshake, each child is given the encouragement and tools to be a true learner, a confident individual, and successful, caring team member. At TPS, it is not about memorization and the ability to complete the day's tasks. At TPS my child was taught by caring, committed, and intelligent teachers. Teachers work together to allow learning to cross pollinate across different academic areas. A study of ancient science in History spilled over to essays and performances in English. Here kindergartners don't memorize lines for a school play. They select the story, write the script, design and make their set and costumes before performing in front of an entire school on the stage inside the beautiful Blairhame, Here the arts are not an afterthought or placeholder. A walk through the school's hallways and dining room showcase the beautiful works of art that each child brings to life whether it be on paper, wood, glass, or clay. The auditorium swells with the songs of the chorus and the music of the orchestra or the smaller bands, including my favorite Junk Orchestra.On the field in front of the school each and every child is an athlete. In the woods that surround the school and field are acres of open space and woods to hike and explore.Here each child is known by name. Each child is celebrated. Each child is taught to be kind, fair and responsible.If it sounds too good to be true, go for a visit and see it all for yourself. I'm glad we did. There is not a moment we regret sending our daughter to the Tuxedo Park School.
