Posted by a parent on 6/18/2020I just love Samara. Let me start by saying I feel very welcome by all staff and at home when I visit my children's school. The dual language program is absolutely amazing. It is ironic that most children growing up in Hispanic households do not learn the language. Samara provides an opportunity for kids to learn, grow and feel empowered. The children learn to speak, read and think in both English and Spanish, which is priceless. I am so proud that my son can speak and read Spanish now. I get regular (sometimes text) updates that make my day while I'm at work. The communication is very open and is strongly encouraged through family communication notebooks. Weekly field trips, capoeira and swimming give the kids something to look forward to.

I remember being afraid to go to school because if you wore the wrong color, you would have to fight. We lived on Longfellow Avenue which was near the school so I knew I could run home before being beat up. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is been in this school since pre- k and the experience is being so good that I trying to keep her there, they work with your child, they show discipline and respect but remember parents needs to be involve in the education as well and they constantly speak to you about your child progress.
