Ps 63 Author S Academy

i do not recommend this school. first of all the school aids are really mean, one kid got talked bad about his mom and the teacher did not do nothing at all! another kid was fighting another kid and the poor kid minding his own business had to break up the fight because the school aids werent paying attention and he got hit. only about 4 teachers actually supports u. the rules are too strict because when a kid got up just to wash his apple he nearly got lunch detention.there is barely any safety in the school more than half the students in the entire school fight and curse and fight each other.the kids play basketball too rough,other kids get hurt and school aids dont even realise. the teachers mainly 1st-3rd grade are so rough one kid was sleeping in class and the teacher instead of tapping the kid he bangs on the table just to wake up the kid instead of tapping them.the teachers are clean freaks one kid made a little mess and the teachers are freaking out.sometimes we can have fun but when u drink the slushie or the cotton candy it goes horribly wrong after trying them your stomach goes upset.the school doesnt check the weather,once the kids didnt bring their coats and it was sunny and then suddenly it starts raining and the lazy teachers dont do anything and the kids got wet or sick.the kids even if they have covid they come to school and infects the other kids with the virus. the school is unprofesional and garbage too much innapropiate behavior and too much cursing and fighting.

All the staff of this school deserve all my respect and my deep gratitude, for all the teaching and patience they had with my 3 children's all these years.

The school is horrible is for low income residents who settle for less. The school doesn’t have the curriculum to support children with IEPS. What a joke, if you don’t want your child to excel send them to that school. Like the rest of the indolent parents, who don’t fight for their children’s education. The school is mediocre, the students are performing below average academically. The school has a Very low progress with low test scores, which means students are starting at a low point and falling even farther behind their peers. The TEST scores at this school fall below the state average. This suggests that most students at this school are not performing at grade level.

It was horrible only good came out of this school was a few staff i mean as 4 from the whole school . They were very unorganized, the assistant principal was very rude he was unprofessional

My son went there at the age of 4 in september 2012 and left in the middle of october 2012. My 4 yr old son had told me on 2 different occasions that his kindergarten teacher had hit him. When i reported this to the principle he was very rude and insensitive about this issue. He shrugged it off and dismissed it. The principle also explained to me that there was no way the teacher could have hit my 4 yr old son because the teacher had been working at the school for far too long to be capable of doing anything like that.
