The schools feels like a community. It isn't just a school of students, it is a school of brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles. Hence, IS339 is an amazing school.

Teachers are taken advantage of, kids stay in the school a ridiculous amount of time, the principal has to run her 10 minute playlist of music during the pledge of allegiance announcements, and the administration likes to threaten other staff

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMost of the staff have attitudes. Have no idea what’s going on. They’ll hire just about anyone . Main office staff is the worst . There clueless , with attitudes . School safety will allow anyone in the building & you could wonder around . My child wondered around for a hour was scared and didn’t know where to go.so I walked. In to see what goes on and was able to wonder the school for at least a hour before anyone asked what I was doing.With everything happening in this world . I expect better! School safety will allow students to fight ,get bullied . My favorite part is asking school safety where I should go and them saying I don’t know not my job. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a great school where the staff genuinely care about the students, and my children truly feel seen and valued. I really appreciate the cultural and physical diversity among the staff—it creates a welcoming and inclusive environment. The teachers my boys have had so far have been wonderful; they feel like family away from home.
