5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis was one of the worst schools my children have attended. I had to remove my children due to many issues with staff not taking accountability for their own actions. My family had a bad experience and my children have awful memories of this school & many of the staff as well. This school is not bad because of the children it is substandard because of many of the staff that we have encountered that are shady and very unethical.Parent Review2y ago9 Reviews - Ps 112 Bronxwood

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am writing to express my concerns about an incident that occurred during a school trip to a park. The way I was treated by some students and a teacher made me feel upset, uncomfortable, and disrespected. I believe this situation should be addressed so that all students can feel safe and respected during school activities. While we were at the park, my friends and I politely asked some students if we could have a turn on the swings. We were respectful and did not demand anything. However, instead of responding kindly, several students gave us attitude and spoke to us in a rude and disrespectful manner. We were simply asking for a turn, but we were treated as if we had done something wrong. Their behavior made me feel unwelcome and embarrassed. What upset me even more was the way one of the teachers handled the situation. Instead of helping solve the problem calmly, the teacher spoke to me in a way that I felt was disrespectful. At one point, the teacher threatened to pull me off the swing. I found this very upsetting because I believe students should be treated with patience and respect, even when there is a disagreement. The comment made me feel intimidated and uncomfortable.I was disappointed because teachers are supposed to help students and set a good example for how people should treat one another. In this situation, I did not feel supported. Instead, I felt that my concerns were ignored while the rude behavior of the other students was not properly addressed. This experience affected my enjoyment of the trip and left me feeling frustrated. I do not think it is fair for students to be treated with attitude by their peers or threatened by adults who are responsible for their care and supervision. I believe everyone deserves to be treated respectfully regardless of the situation.I would appreciate it if this matter could be looked into and taken seriously. My goal is not to get anyone in trouble but to make sure that students are treated fairly and respectfully during school events. I hope steps can be taken to prevent similar situations from happening in the future and to create a more positive environment for everyone involved.Other Review3mo ago8 Reviews - Cornerstone Academy For Social Action

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWake - Eden has been around forever and continues to excel. They a a hidden gem. I have watched this school grow over many years and always recommend families to them. As an alumni I know the foundation they gave me. Which is why I sent my three children there. My son (who is in college now) and many of his classmates were all above grade level when they left. He was excelled in elementary and continued that excellence through middle school. He went into high with 4 of his regents exams passed. Without that head start at Wake-Eden that wouldn't be possible. My oldest daughter left from there and went on to Horace Mann and my youngest is currently there. All of them where prepared for the next level of their education. The principal, teachers, teacher's assistants, and every single staff are caring, compassionate and loving to the students. Every morning the custodian is there cleaning up greeting families and knows the kids names. When you walk in your greeted by the security guard, Mr. Francis that knows the children by name! Wake-Eden is family! Know that your child will be safe, secure, educated, and comfortable. I couldn't have asked for a better foundation for my children.Parent Review4y ago7 Reviews - Our Lady of Grace School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy two daughters have been in this school since 2019 when my eldest started pre-K. I have nothing but amazing things to say from the teachers to Mr. H. My girls are supported in their academics with my youngest receiving special education this year. I truly have no complaints whenever I have raised concerns with things like bullying they have been addressed immediately by Mr.H and their teachers. They have sports teams and lots of amazing events through out the year for the kids from BBQ’s to book fairsParent Review2y ago10 Reviews - Faith Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMixed. Overall my child's innate ability was squelched and delayed, instead of embraced and nurtured. I would not recommend this school to children not of Carribean extraction. In grade K5 she was nurtured and handled properly. In the final analysis she benefited, but could have received so much more if the school had been properly staffed and managed.Parent Review6y ago17 Reviews - Baychester Academy
