An excellent school. My kids and i love it.
Posted by a parent on 2/4/2019this school should be changed or closed down they dont help the child and they allow other children to be bullied and they dont call the parent when there is a fight with your child and another child they try to cover up all there mistakes my son was kick in the balls last yr and not one person call
Posted by a parent on 9/26/2018Absolutely terrible. The good kids get punished for what the bad kids do. The bad kids don't get punished at all. For example, for the second time, a particular child pushed my son down and ripped his pants. This happened during a soccer game, but all of the kids say this kid trips kids regardless.

My youngest son started in the dual language program and the first year everything was fine. Then things began to change. Native English-speaking parent

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a previous student at this school, terrible. Teachers Can and WILL humiliate you every time they can to literally everyone. No fun activities, and if there is, a lot of students are always excluded from said activities. Counselors share whatever you say to them to literally everyone they can, Never helps with bullying, and Family engagement? Nope, that never happened. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI spent my whole life up until 8th grade here. I am half asian and during my (about) 10 years here, I have experienced and witnessed so much racism and hate. Slurs were constantly being thrown around and a racist drawing depicting a stereotypical gang member was hung up. Special needs children were always made the butt of the joke and so were other kids who were socially awkward or didn't get along with others as well. I failed the SHSAT and did not get into any of my choices and I had no chance to take regents-level classes early on and get ahead in high school. I was offered to take the Algebra II regents, but none of my teachers prepared me for it. This is affecting me as I prepare for the SAT. I also remember being picked up by my parents, crying about teachers losing their temper with me over simple misunderstandings. From the faith aspect, it wasn't great. I remember failing religion exams because none of the material was in the textbook, only in the notes that you had to handwrite if you didn't have a printer (and they wouldn't print them for you!) and being pressured into lying during confession because I (an honest 10 year old who legitimately never did anything) was pressured into going to confession by my teachers. Also, you're forced to take italian which isn't helpful in the slightest. Unfortunately, the only genuine teacher I met (who I keep in contact with) has left due to the environment being so toxic. I'm not sure if many will see this review, but I'd like to save some children from the hardship had experienced and am currently experiencing due to my academic setback.Other Review1y ago - Our Lady Of Mt Carmel-St Benedicta School
