Heathcote School

Our son had an excellent experience in this school. The teachers were the perfect amount of stern yet loving that allowed the boys to respect them and each other while fostering a positive learning environment and encouragement to continue to improve.

This school is very interactive and teachers teach with the kids not at them. The community is very welcoming and sweet. My child adjusted pretty quickly. This schools curriculum was tuff but it helped my kid grow in knowledge, wisdom, and mental endurance. They push the kids to do there best and the discipline is definitely tuff when it comes to the actions of the student. But, it helps shape them into a respectful and well behaved young man. The teachers genuinely care about the students and want them to learn and understand the topics they go over instead of just moving on for the sake of getting work done. Lots of work is done during my child's time here and it definitely positively shaped my child academically to be ready for college.

I have three children at the school from PreK through 5th grade and I could not be more pleased with the quality of education they are receiving as well as the focus on character building and kindness infused throughout the school day. The schoolwork is appropriately rigorous and challenging and students are supported with any learning struggles they may experience. There are many engaging after-school and extracurricular offerings and the PTA has done a wonderful job of building up our community with fun events for the whole family. The principal and teachers are always available and readily communicate with parents. I would definitely recommend that anyone interested in IHM go for a tour and see for themselves if they think it would be a good fit for their child.
