Birch School

En mi experiencia esta escuela no toma acciones en contra de el bullying, especialmente si eres una familia común. Por el contrario si perteneces a una familia militar o una familia con algún trabajo en algún distrito escolar, entonces ellos si toman medidas y actúan rápidamente. Mi hijo pasó todo el año escolar acosado y burlado por otros niños, y lo único que yo recibía eran cartas calmadoras de parte de la maestra, y nunca se me concedió una reunión con el principal. Tuvimos que cambiar a mi hijo de escuela.

My child is an 11th grade homeschool student who attends The Birch School twice a week for their Boundless program. The Birch School is a private micro-school(less than 50 students) for middle and high school students in the heart of the Hudson Valley, NY. Its Boundless program is for homeschooling middle and high school students where staff assist with school work, social skills, etc. Since starting at The Birch School my child has grown socially, emotionally, and academically, and truly loves his days there. He has made many friends as the students are super friendly, supportive, and respectful of each other. The staff is kind, friendly, and foster a safe environment for the students. So, whether you're a homeschool family looking for some extra support, electives, and socialization for your child or are a parent who is looking for an alternative to public school for your kid because they may not fit into the "box" of public school, it's worth checking out The Birch School as an option.
