Ravena Coeymans Selkirk Senior High School

We are very pleased with the close knit community and the school system.

I am extremely disappointed in this school district.

I have had two children go through Becker Elementary, with amazing, caring experiences, as well as through the MS . One, has successfully graduated HS is currently performing beautifully in a 4 year private college. Graduating HS with many credits towards College was a huge plus! While the other child is currently in HS. Both have had wonderful experiences, opportunities and teachers! Being challenged in all areas and working her way through with endless opportunities. We have had chances to move to other schools, yet choose to keep them here in a smaller district with a multitude of ethnic backgrounds. Making a more aware individual ready for future experiences and appreciation of hard work. There are pluses and minuses to smaller schools, but this school is raising the bar for smaller schools. I Highly recommend Ravena Coeymans Selkirk School District, as it may have had a bad rap in the past, all schools face challenges in some part. However, this is a school going places and I'm glad my kids are and were a part of it!

I have no idea who these bad reviews are coming from--the faculty, staff, and administration have been wonderful for my three children over the years. There are plenty of options for AP classes as well as electives. The music and drama productions are fantastic at the High School. RCS is still small enough that your children are known by all the faculty and they still are able to participate in three seasons worth of sports. Anyone who says otherwise must have an axe to grind. I am excited to see where my kids will go to college after their excellent experiences at RCS.
