Best elementary school in Ridgewood. Had my son at 239Q and it was a total nightmare. He has an IEP for a self-contained setting and has made incredible progress. Principal Diamond is the best and has chosen excellent, knowledgeable and supportive staff in her school. Highly recommend

Posted by a parent on 9/6/2018Whenever I think about P.S 81, all I have are great memories. Although its a small school, I loved attending class everyday. I had the best teachers! Mr.Langseth was my teacher for first and second grade and Ms.Catalano for third, forth and fifth. Man, they made school amazing and I will never forge
Posted by a community member on 2/22/2014my child attended kindergarten in this school, the teacher was constantly shouting and screaming, i dont think environment is healthy for child's mental development, new principal is good and i am hoping things will change for good in future...

They also made my child feel welcomed and supported. The staff from the teachers aids and other staff are kind and helpful also.
