My son knew how to read , write, and understand his math in preschool, when he got in the middle of the year in kindergarten I was told suddenly he doesn't know how to read. They told me my son

I have been in many schools and none, not even in D26 schools compare. You cannot look at test scores alone. No doubt that if you are looking for a great elementary school, this is it!!!!!!!

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m sharing this as a parent who genuinely wanted to believe in this school. For a long time, I made excuses, telling myself the school was simply doing its best. However, I was deeply disappointed by the decision to hire the current assistant principal this year. From my experience, she struggles to support students emotionally, lacks effective problem-solving skills, and is unable to connect with students. I was not alone in these concerns, many parents in her class expressed similar feelings in group chats, I’m sure if anyone asks guardians around what they think of her they’ll share. As a parent of multiple students of PS112, an educator myself, and a volunteer at the school, I could say much more. It’s truly disappointing to see this performance rewarded. I sincerely hope the school reflects and does better for its students and families moving forward. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe best thing about this school was leaving it. I can't say enough bad things about it. Bad behavior usually trickles down from the top, and this place is no exception. The administration is horrible, the teachers uncaring and mostly waiting to get married, and the predominantly affluent and white parents in a world of their own. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL. When my child entered middle school, she struggled to keep up with others because she learned almost nothing at 158, including how to SPELL. By the time she left middle school, she was at the top of her class and admitted to a SHS, in spite of the bad foundation of learning from 158.
