Ps 124 Osmond A Church

I attended this school from grade 1-5 before covid 19. I had many teachers such as Tufano, Torez, Aranda, Sarkar, Reynold and Tekaaho. All these teachers were amazing and did a great job had so much fun here. Often a lot of the teachers would shows us more advanced methods to do something which was a game changer for future classes. But yea i highly recommend this elementary school and think yall should send your own kids here.

Honestly, have to say this is MOST PROBABLY the worst school ever. Teachers don't care about the students. They're lazy and won't spend an extra 5 mins on any child who doesn't understand what is being taught. And swiss forms are pure nonsense. Instead of helping them correct their mistakes it is easier to hand out swiss forms. This school is ridiculous. Education is NOT their main priority. Rethink before sending your child here.

School is doing so much better, the principle and teachers are making sure all student are provided with the best educational Resources and school are well kept.

I strongly do not recommend school as I feel. They do a lot of events such as fundraisers. I don’t feel much of a inviting presents to come to the school when I’ve had to go up to the school for multiple times for my son who was getting bullied I felt pushed out. I felt there was no communication, and the bullying was physical. They didn’t do anything. I feel like the classes are too large for students however, I believe that is a problem that is across schools not particularly pertaining to that school. I feel like with technologies. There is a lot of ways to keep in communication with people, phone calls, parents or general emails however, I feel it takes days for somebody to contact me , generally My son is not excited to attend school and never has good things to say

Principal Koo is a trustworthy and kind leader. I feel safe and secure dropping off my children to school at PS155 because of the school’s good leadership. My kids had been accepted into a Charter school but didn’t want to leave PS 155. They love it and that’s a blessing. All the best to the PS 155 community and thanks Principal Koo!

If you’re wondering why this school is struggling and the ratings are so low, look at the leadership. We have three administrators who can’t seem to get on the same page. The principal is great at making things look good on the surface, but once you’re actually involved, it’s a completely different story. She makes decisions based on her mood, not what’s best for the school, and honestly, she’s just not a kind person. I can’t help but wonder how effective she was as a teacher before stepping into this role.A lot of parents feel the same way—she’s just not well-liked. Here’s my main question: How can someone be principal for six years, have the school perform this poorly year after year, and still face no investigation or improvement plan? If teachers get put on improvement plans or even let go for not showing growth, why isn’t the same standard applied to principals?Potential teacher? Avoid … Wishy washy admin. Parent thinking of sending your child? Avoid. Your children are not going to receive good education here. Nearly half of the children in this school cannot read.That’s not a good sign.

I've been here for a couple of months and I have to agree it is a good school
