Posted by a parent on 2/25/2018Overall a good experience. Nice people (kids, parents, and educators), brand new bright happy school building with indoor and outdoor play areas, and so far the curriculum has fostered curiosity in my kids. I am glad it is our zoned school. :)

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAfter reading the previous post about the STEM teacher, I felt compelled to post. My child has been attending PS11 since kindergarten and I have always been very pleased with my child's teachers and the school. However, this year my child has a third grade teacher who demeans children on a daily basis. She screams constantly. I have spoken to the teacher (numerous times) and administration and the problem continues. Administration did nothing. My child cries most mornings and complains of a stomachache. After speaking to others, the teacher has been like this for years. I am at my breaking point and hopefully by taking the matter higher it will be resolved. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn my experience being at this school, I graduated 5 years ago and I tell you they did not care about bullying and teachers use to yell at you for the littlest things. I don’t know how it is now but I hope it’s better because my elementary school days should have been better instead of being let down all the time.
