My child had a profoundly negative experience at this school, and I am left feeling deeply disappointed by the inadequate support provided for bullying incidents. As a parent, I firmly believe that every child deserves to feel safe and supported within their learning environment, yet this school has not lived up to that fundamental expectation. My child has been subjected to repeated bullying, which has had a significant emotional impact on him. Unfortunately, the school's response has been far from satisfactory. When incidents were reported, the actions taken were insufficient, leaving my child feeling neglected and unsupported. It has become increasingly clear that the school does not have effective measures in place to handle bullying incidents fairly or consistently. Moreover, it appears that my son has been specifically targeted, creating a distressing situation where he feels isolated and anxious. The lack of appropriate intervention and support has made it difficult for him to engage in his studies and enjoy his time at school. As a result of these ongoing challenges and the school's failure to address them adequately, we have made the difficult decision to transfer my child to another school for the upcoming academic year. This decision was not made lightly, but we believe it is in his best interest to find an environment where he can thrive without the worry of bullying. Overall, I hope that sharing this experience highlights the urgent need for improvements in how schools address bullying and ensure the well-being of their students.

This school has left me with lasting trauma regarding my child’s safety. In 2019, my four year old son was able to leave by himself undetected during dismissal. I found him half a block away by himself looking for me. It was pure luck that I was walking toward him and didn’t come up from the other direction. He could have been abducted, hit by a car, you name it. The school has since changed their dismissal procedure. When I called the following day to talk to the principal, they swept my concerns under the rug. Abysmal handling of both safety and justified parent concerns.

Will have to agree with previous post. Fine school if your child is neurotypical. For those with special needs, this school tries but falls short - unfortunately. It feels incredibly lonely to be in this population.Classrooms are extremely packed, we did not benefit from the state’s mandated smaller classroom - also unfortunate. Would I recommend this school? Just depends on your child’s needs.

Principal Didio did nothing for my kid who got bullied and stated that he cannot ensure the safety of the children 24/7. Terrible principal, does not care about kids or parents. Please choose a different school if you can

Please do not send your child to this school. The list of all that is wrong at this school is just too long to write. Students and teachers leave mid-year just to get away. I heard the kindergarten class had three teachers this year alone, each one stating lack of support from the principal as their reason for leaving mid-year. The building is literally being held together with tape in some areas, where the building experienced pipes leaking. There is writing all over the bathroom walls and cracks all along the foundation, none of which seems to be fixed despite running fundraisers all year. The school's principal cannot even write an email to parents without it being riddled with grammatical errors. My children spent only one year at this school, and it was one year too many. I had heard this school was great about a decade ago, but has since gone to shambles, both literally and physically.

My child never had good experiences in school; he didn't really understand the material being taught, especially in Math and Science, and bullying was present. At LSFB, the faculty really take the time to ensure the students are not only introduce to the material, but really understand the content and how to do the work. The hands on learning and research (not working on computers, chrome books, or iPads) encourage one to think about the process and show the work. The students are very accepting and learn how to properly interact without offending each other. Many friends are made at this school and returning alumni come back to check on their "little sisters and brothers."
