My child w special needs is reading and doing math above grade level. There is so much support here from teachers and staff. The focus on social emotional learning is genius. The parents are a special group of inclusive and warm folks who are very dedicated to supporting all the students. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe best thing about this school was leaving it. I can't say enough bad things about it. Bad behavior usually trickles down from the top, and this place is no exception. The administration is horrible, the teachers uncaring and mostly waiting to get married, and the predominantly affluent and white parents in a world of their own. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL. When my child entered middle school, she struggled to keep up with others because she learned almost nothing at 158, including how to SPELL. By the time she left middle school, she was at the top of her class and admitted to a SHS, in spite of the bad foundation of learning from 158. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you do not care about your kids education and being bothered multiple times a week with ridiculous phone calls then this school is for you. The principle only cares for her reputation and does not help or side with parents if there are problems between student/parents and teachers. I have caught teachers lying multiple times about my child’s behavior and actions in school. If your child crosses any line then they over exaggerate the situation. I have made many attempts to understand the teachers, aids, and principal but they are so hard to communicate with.
