Read what parents are saying about Gregorio Luperon High School for Science and MathematicsI’m really grateful with this schools because this school has helped me a lot when I came my first time to the United States. It’s a great school for those kids that are new in this country or are Hispanics. I came to this school when I was a Junior in 2021 and I’m a Senior now who will hopefully graduate in six months, wish me luck to pass the ELA this January 24. In 6this school I have found amazing people and amazing coaches. That’s one of the things that I Love from this school, all the support that students-athletes receive here and the amazing relationships that you can build with the coaches. Honestly, I don’t want to leave this school, and I’ll come back. I really thanks all these people for all the support, love and confidence these people have gave me.

Posted by a student on 4/29/2022Horrible scheduling management. Have had 3 family members attend this school and all 3 have experienced delays in graduating due to the mismanagement of courses required for completion. The staff is inattentive to this matter and a good majority hardly speaks English. My niece had passed all her regents along with her classes but had to repeat a 5th year due to the incompetent staff overlook a music and gym credit all while her program allowed for 2 free periods yet the staff was "unable" to fit something within her free time. They also discouraged her to take several regents exams because they believed she wasn't ready. She heavily insisted and was was finally granted permission. She scored well above her other classmates and silenced all who opposed. In conclusion, this school has a terrible staff administration. They hold you back and don't seem to care much about about it. Plenty other parents haveother have had similar or worse experiences. The school board should take a closer look into restructuring this school

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageArthur Tappan 46 is not in a rich neighborhood, so the best education is not to be expected. From my experience it is a TACTLESS environment. My child complained daily about the profanity and rude remarks made by the 7th grade math teacher Wilson and did not do well overall and emotionally at the school. This school and its principal condone the yelling and negligence of some of the teachers by not requiring them to practice common or healthy communication skills as adults. The school does not work with us as parents so that we can mutually do the best we can at encouraging our children towards promotion or at helping them gain a proper understanding of what is expected of them as a student's/child. Schools have zones but if you can change schools, your child would benefit.Parent Review5mo ago - Ps 4 Duke Ellington

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter is about to complete the 3k program and our experience at PS 128 has exceeded our expectations. The administration is proactive, responsive and organized. Culturally, the school is diverse and welcoming. There is a lot of school spirit and camaraderie amongst parents and staff. The teachers are experienced and thorough. We have had experience with private school through or other child, and our parent teacher evaluations at PS 128 were just as thorough and detailed as our private school evaluations. Our daughter participated in social emotional learning and play based learning. She was also exposed to art, dance and music. She has grown to be a confident and an avid learner. We have also seen how supportive the teachers are with students with IEPs and development delays. Very happy with the school. Parent Review1y ago - Ps 173

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEver since the new administration came in, the school has positively transformed. Teachers are wonderful, kids are excited about school, and the whole community is warm and inviting. One of the best schools in Washington Heights.Other Review7y ago - St Rose Of Lima School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe quality of Incarnation School has deteriorated through out these past years. I, personally, think its the new faculty that has come to the school. Many of their old, good teachers (who could actually teach) have "left" or were either fired. Also, the school has gotten many new instructors, only to find out that those teachers will be gone the very next year. The classes are either disengaging and unchallenging or extremely difficult to the point that students don't learn anything. The environment of the school isn't as welcoming. The rules aren't as enforcing. And frankly, I'm pretty sure most of the faculty favors the boys rather than the girls in this school. In conclusion, if you are considering enrolling your child here, I recommend for you to reconsider your other options. There are many other better schools around.Parent Review6y ago
