Did not receive any proper instructions in K and 1st grade, school was all play time, no work, inexperienced teachers. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was willing to overlook things at first, but at this point I can’t ignore what’s happening. In a certain grade at this school, issues arise and simply never get resolved. Problems can happen anywhere—that’s not the issue. The real problem is that there is absolutely no visible effort to address or fix them. I’ve heard that the state of the classes is chaotic, and that things are happening that are completely unheard of. Despite this, there seems to be no intention or ability to resolve anything. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe just moved out of New York City, and We are missing this school. We are at another Montessori school - but it is not the same unfortunately. We were at this school for 3 years, and were happy with the progress - and the parent community. My son is already bored because he already knows the curriculum they are giving him. We miss you Montessori School of NY!We miss the NYC culture - the trips and understanding they learned about other cultures. My son's class had children from so many other countries - he learned so much about them. most important, he loved school and all his teachers.
