It's really just not that fun to go to. I wake up upset everyday which hasn't happened before at my old school.

Sports programs are nice with great fields. The Highschool is advanced where every child gets a tablet. Modern.

Worst H.S in Middletown/Orange county. Teachers don't even want to be there, nor do they care about the kids education. They're more interested in their paycheck. I had to move my teens to Georgia to pursue a better education. The school here was ranked #2 in the county. The after school programs that they have here, really helped my kids prosper. Finally teachers who cared about my kids education, and they would send emails asking the teens did they have any problems with the assignments that they learned the day before. It's a shame that you have to move your kids out of the state to pursue a better education for them. Just look at the ranking of this school. Always check the schools before you look for a home in Middletown.

Thanks to MHS my daughter have credits of college classes. They always keep the students engaged in different school programs. MHS count with the latest technology, sports, and music programs, etc. MHS gives the tools to students for be prepared for college or even a vocational career. They offer free chromebooks and free lunch to our students (something that others closers school district do not offer). They have after school programs too. It’s a safe place for the students.

Top notch. One of my children participated in a BOCES Strachey preparation program for 2 years and her MHS schedule was always in sync. Another daughter graduated with 42 (yes, 42!) college credits from the high school’s cooperating program with Syracuse University (SUPA). She earned these credits at no out-of-pocket expense for us - tuition, books, materials, fees, transcripts were all taken care of through the school.Teachers were always available to help her with math. She was given the opportunity to do peer tutoring as a way to give back what she received from the school. One caveat: you must be an advocate for your child at this school. With a student population hovering around 2500, it might be easy to slip through the cracks. Make sure your child is occupied by sports or school clubs, and use the Parent Portal app to stay on top of assignments, due dates, and grades. DON’T wait until progress report time to find out what’s going on. Be proactive, and the MHS experience for you and your child will be fantastic!
