A great majority of the teachers excel at their job and teach their course material well compared to other schools in that area. I like this school, but forget it if you're not in AP or advanced classes--in regents or "local" classes, the teachers couldn't care less... and neither could the students. On the other hand, AP teachers are top-notch, and their classes filled with students eager to learn.

Marcellus has been relying a past reputation for excellence but during the past 5 years the administrative budget has increased while the student test scores continue to drop. This school is AMAZING! My 8 year old was diagnosed with LD and ADD this past fall. The teachers make him feel welcome and work hard with him to help him to be successful!! The principal is very friendly, as well as the whole staff! They have been very patient with my child as he can become difficult at times. I will really miss this school when we move to Texas! My criteria for our children's future schools will be based on Marcellus's schools!! Primarily KCH!
