Posted by a community member on 11/16/2015Truman elementary is by far the worst else marry school I have ever encountered in my life there is a woman who works in the office who is very nasty and rude we just moved here and they refused to let me walk my 5 year old daughter into school and the first day every though she had no idea

I am someone who has homeschooled my child in the past and hasn’t always been on board with public school. With that said my daughter has had an incredible experience at this school. She has struggled in the past socially and with acclimating. The teachers and staff have been responsive, helpful, and gracious. The staff has been outstanding and I am very impressed with the security and safety precautions. I 100% recommend this school. As someone who has been wary about the public school system, I have nothing negative to say about Winchester. I am grateful they take such great care and are attentive. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school as a child and my daughter went from k-5. This school goes above and beyond for their students. They kept kids in class during covid, which had a huge impact on their education. They always keep you updated on any events taking place or any concerns. The communication with parents is incredible. They offered lots of clubs, orchestra and band, and their amazing annual play. I’m surprised they don’t have a higher rating. My daughter received a great education and the staff is incredible. My daughter made so many connections from friends, teachers, the YMCA, and security.
