Not a good school for kids who need IEP — no teachers ever advocated for my son who had issues with reading and writing…my son graduated to go to middle school only for his ELA IREADY to show 4th grade reading comprehension level and inability to write grade level essay discussions. Middle school teachers advocated for him and now he has an IEP for speech in the 7th grade, and may be going into ICT classes for other subjects. Why was PS 94 so eager to promote my son without appropriate services ? Horrible school for students needing IEP or services.

NYC public school with 250 students ! How better does it get. Of course you can pay $10k for a local catholic school or maybe $50k to send your child to Buckley Day School, similar class size, maybe you your child won’t get to ride a horse during school time but hey pay for those lessons separately, same level of education and save yourself $45k!

The students and teachers at St. Mary’s were wonderful and made the experience enjoyable overall. However, the administration side of the school was very disappointing. There seemed to be a lack of professionalism and communication, and interactions with administration often felt negative.I asked a simple question regarding a former student and was met with a rude response from the vice principal, which came across as dismissive and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the overall environment seemed to reflect issues that start with administration rather than the teachers themselves, who work very hard and genuinely care about the students.

Ignored Racial Conflict: The administration is completely unconcerned with the ongoing racial tension and conflict among the students. They completely fail to address or resolve these deep-rooted issues.Unresponsive Leadership: Parent concerns are routinely brushed off. Management is completely unresponsive when serious problems are brought to their attention.Hypocritical Culture: The school publicly preaches a culture of kindness, but the internal reality is exactly the opposite.Unethical Administrative Behavior: A member of the administrative team who also teaches engages in highly inappropriate behavior. This individual shares personal grievances about other teachers directly with the students. When confronted, this administrator calls the students liars to their faces.Lack of Accountability: Unethical behavior is rampant throughout the school culture and is consistently brushed under the rug rather than corrected.
