St. John Cantius School

This school is completely and utterly disorganized, and the leadership must be held accountable. There is a constant lack of communication, and staff members are frequently left unsure of what is happening in the building. This ongoing dysfunction directly impacts students, especially in a neighborhood where children are already marginalized and rely heavily on strong, consistent leadership. Instead, what they experience is confusion, inconsistency, and a lack of direction.Both the principal and the assistant principals in this building should be placed under investigation. The level of disorganization and disconnect is not occasional. It is persistent. There is little evidence that leadership is aware of what is happening day to day, and even less evidence that concerns raised by staff, students, or families are taken seriously or addressed with urgency.It is particularly alarming that bullying continues to occur despite the presence of parent coordinators and designated bullying liaisons. These roles exist to protect students, yet incidents continue while leadership appears unaware or unresponsive. Students are left navigating harmful situations without the support they deserve, and staff are left without clear guidance or follow-through.Our students deserve better. They deserve a safe, structured, and responsive school environment where leadership is present, informed, and accountable. When leadership fails to communicate, fails to respond, and fails to protect students, it creates an atmosphere where problems grow and students suffer. It is frustrating, disheartening, and unacceptable that this level of dysfunction continues without intervention.

My personal experience in this school was absolutely amazing, but the school has gone bad

Our teachers challenge students to be the best version of themselves. We support our families with workshops, educational classes, a food pantry, free laundry services, and much more. Our students are excelling and we have increased student achievement across all grades since I became principal in 2022. Join our Wolfpack movement!

New Grace Center has profoundly shaped and transformed young minds for the past 40 years. My husband attended with his siblings, and I can genuinely attest that this school played a crucial role in molding him into the wonderful man he is today. My son also attended New Grace Center and, thanks to the strong foundation in Christ and a solid education he received, he is now a fine young man excelling in college.The commitment of the staff is exceptional. Mrs. Smith is truly amazing; she goes above and beyond for both students and parents. Mr. Liverpool is also incredibly understanding and always available to support his students. I wholeheartedly recommend New Grace Center as an excellent school that fosters both academic success and personal growth.

I have experienced open arm from since my children has attended. I have become come apart of a family and that is truly important to for my children's academic and intellectual advancement.
