This was a horrible experience. The professionals are unprofessional, rude and unwelcoming. They dim kids lights at this school and are breeding future convicts. If you care about your child, find another school. It was the best thing I ever did!

They don’t care for students or workers. I worked for them one day as a sub para was disrespected by teachers!! They let their autistic kids run free all over the school and don’t care. They haven’t paid me for the day I worked too! Reported them ASAP. Shut the whole school down.

I attended this school from kindergarten through May of 3rd grade1969 - 1972..I really enjoyed attending this school. It was great back then....I know times has changed but the school ratings are so low and I am completely disappointed!

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at PS 279. The communication from the school is consistently poor, leaving parents struggling to stay informed about their children's progress and school events. Additionally, the school seems to lack teachers who possess both the experience and patience necessary to effectively engage and educate our students.One of the most concerning issues is the inadequate support for students with disabilities. These students do not receive the assistance they require to thrive academically and socially. This neglect is detrimental not only to the individual students but also affects the overall learning environment.Furthermore, the notion of family engagement at PS 279 feels disingenuous. The school promotes the idea of involving families, but in practice, it often comes off as just a facade, with minimal opportunities for meaningful interaction or involvement.Overall, I believe that significant improvements are needed at PS 279 in order to provide a better educational experience for all students and to foster genuine engagement with families.Safety and learning are ok here, but everything elese they need to do better.I am not even going to wait for the end of the school year to pull my children out.

For the love of god, please dont send your kids there...terrible lunch that made by janitors, removing kids from school without parent knowledge...if you love your kids keep them away from this place...will brain wash your kids to leave their home...must be reported...this school is a discrase to the jewish people

This school has horrible administration they do not care about your child. There is a lot of bullying in this school and the administration condones this behavior. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE you will regret it.
