There are huge achievement gaps at this school. The school goal sets for small incremental gains as opposed to taking an aggressive approach to move all students to proficiency levels. It is concerning as this is a Title 1 school and I don’t believe that all of the resources are being made available to provide change. Parents aren’t expected to be part of the the culture of the school. If you’re looking to have bake sales and provide photo opportunities and not provide any real input, then this school is for you. Some teachers are not engaging. Pre pandemic, I did witness teachers yelling at their students. Perhaps they believe that this is the way to instruct students, but from the test scores, it does not work. Students perform well from K-2. Data on grades and proficiency looks a bit murky in grades 3-5. This has been an issue pre pandemic and the solution is to set goals to move up the number of students that are a t proficiency up a few points. Using this strategy, children won’t be at 50% proficiency for years to come. If you’re looking for real academic achievement for your child and a real partnership between parents and school, then this may not be the right fit or culture for you and your family.

the teachers are not nice and they scream at us they are so mean I'm going to 4rth grade and they think I'm crazy but I not wawawawawawa

This school is horrible ! This is a very unsafe school with no protocols to protect the children. My daughter was harmed multiple times from different kids in her grade. The kids run through hallways with no monitoring as well as jumping on each other and running through doorways where parents get the kids. My child was hit with a metal water bottle and an arm chair was also thrown at her face. The principal told me they do not have any safety protocols for how to protect the children. The resolve it by telling the parents they will reach out but never do. I removed my daughter from this school in February because not only was she being harmed each day her grades was going down because of the curriculum. My daughter was an easy honor roll student but because she lacks support from the school teachers she have been showing frustration. As parents we try to hard to make sure we help our child out with everything. The teachers do not provide support and let the kids do WHATEVER they want. These people are here for a check and my child is losing out on learning and being able to also have fun as a first grader. PLEASE DO NOT ENROLL YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL THIS SCHOOL NEEDES TO BE REVISED WITH NEW STAFF.

You are my son had the best foundation that I could have asked for at this school. I recommended this school very highly. The staff is caring and nurturing. Their heart is in the right place. I want to stand in the mountaintop to tell the whole world how much I appreciate the foundation they gave to my son Bethany.
