Brooklyn Jesuit Prep School

This school is horrible the school food is nasty my kid came home starving and her boyfriend had bad stomach problems. But the education is good the students never listen in class they stuff at the teachers even when the principal walks in there still loud its crazy please don't take your and if your attending please take them out immediately take them to Cunningham or Roy. This is not a bad school but the students are terrible.

Overall I feel that great things happening at PS 119. The administration is ahead of the game and making strides to find ways to help the children become better citizens overall. I particularly find it a great place for early childhood. I would not hesitate on sending your child here provided that you are prepared to give them extra academic support at home. Where as the academic climate is not as rigorous as I would like (until the 5th grade), the social climate is a strong one. Better than you will find at the majority of public schools. Biggest concern is that some of the teachers and school support staff in the building need an overhaul. However, overall it is a great learning environment that supports your childs social and emotional growth.

The principal and staff are very involved with their students. They send many correspondents and phone calls to keep parents aware of activities and meetings.

Great Christian Leadership! My child graduated from here 2014 after spending over 8 years. The teachers really care, however there is a great need for supplies and funding. The teachers are overworked, underpaid and sometimes not paid on time. The school can be successful if it receives funding and probably new leadership. I rate it 3 because communication was always last minute or non-existence, the curriculum was not clear and at one point during the lower grades social studies was self-taught. I found that textbooks were outdated. On the other hand, children left with spiritual guidance and morals. Most of the students I know did well including my child. 100% of the graduates attends college from that class.

This is the second year for my daughter at St. Jerome, we are very disappointed over all, teacher performance as the ones I have interacted with so far are always on their very expensive phones or iPads, The principal is only decorative, the Religious guidance is Zero, Security wise is as stressful as can be, everyday I just pray for my daughter to be safe when it's time for me to pick her up. I believe that a Catholic School should be a respectful, caring environment for kids to develop a sense of Family, Community, Service, Humility, Respect all that along with parents involved, me and my husband are looking for a new school for our daughter before is too late.

This is an excellent school. The teachers care. The educational structure is good and they are always well organized. The tuition is a bit pricey but it is worth every penny. This school is also known as St. Catherine of Genoa- St Therese of Lisieux.
