Bedford Academy High School

Test scores cannot reflect my children's experience in this school. There is a caring and nurturing environment which I think is essential for young children. There is structure and there is discipline. The principal fights constantly to keep the arts and science in the school. My kids have visual art, drama, music and science.

We are in PK and could not ask for a better experience. We love our PK teacher. They just got accepted as an IB school and are applying a new curriculum that incorporates dance, art, Spanish and lesson plans around self and community. The PTA is very involved and making great strides.

I am now 20 years old, I still go back to visit former teachers and I maintain a open relationship with quite a few staff members of the school. These teachers care and it matters to them whether they make a difference or not in the lives of the students they teach.

During the duration in which my son attended, the principal was not open to provide extra tutoring support. I had to contact the Superintenden Office to demand support, and this was after Covid The principal rarely returned email, only when you mentioned you will contact the Superintendent Office to address your concerns . My son wasn't prepared for Algebta for High School. I we had to select a Middle School again, I would not select Arts and Letter.

The teachers and administrators genuinely care about the development of my child. They go above and beyond.

BWS is such an amazing environment for our kids. We joined when looking for a preschool for our then 3.5 year old (what Waldorf calls "Early Childhood"). We're now in our 3rd year (Kindergarten) and we're totally in love. The thoughtful approach to every subject, including art, music and physical growth has really blown us away. I'm excited to watch my daughter continue to flourish in the grades program, with such a hands-on approach to learning with your hands, head and heart for all subjects. Our little guy has also started once a week "caregiver and me" classes at, which have been great for his development and to get to know other parents. I'm so glad we found this community.
