Holy Cross Elementary School

The accountability structure of this school is broken or non-existent. Instead of trying to improve, they continually suppress voices of concerns and deflect from real issues. They do some routine superficial things just to cover up. The principal is always hiding and apparently she has delegated everything to the vice principal who is absolutely dysfunctional and a just talking machine. I regret putting my child in this school.

P.S 100 is a great school. Principal Arbolino has brought podcasting, hip hop dance, yoga, ballroom dancing and many other fun activities for the students. The students love it.

The worse Experience for my kids. Specially school safety, principal, parent coordinator liaison and pta are all very bias. Have certain preference for their personal friends.My children were discriminated, labeled "white kids" and allowed to be bullied... even by above mentioned "adults"

This school is honestly one of my worst experience ever. The principal is HORRIBLE. She do not care about these students academically. They will blow your phone completely up if your child is absent 1 day but in order to find out your child is falling behind in class you wouldn’t find out until parent teacher conference. The students get rewarded based off attendance and not their work performance in class. She holds her title as Principal over every one of her staff members heads. If your child have an Iep pleaseee please please don't send them here. They have no structure what so ever. This school is a big daycare. You have to pray your lucky enough to get one of the teachers who actually care about their students learning and trust me, ITS VERY FEW OF THEM! The principle hides in her office when a parent comes to the school and wants to meet with her. Its honestly nothing at this school to make the students WANT to be here. The list goes on and on. I can go on for days. To sum this all up. DO NOT PUT YOUR KIDS IN THIS SCHOOL. If all of us parents speak up we can make a change seriously. Start by getting the principal, assistant principal, and half the staff out of there asap. I cant speak for everyone but I’ll be at the board of ed everyday starting tomorrow until something is done. I’ll be emailing and contacting EVERYONE. MY VOICE WILL BE HEARD !!!!!

We feel very fortunate to have our child attending this school. What makes this school truly special is not only the education, but the genuine care, kindness, and respect that the teachers and staff show every day.The communication and coordination with families have been wonderful. As parents, we always feel welcomed, heard, and connected to what is happening at school. You can really feel that the teachers and staff care about the children as individuals, not simply as students in a classroom.One of the things that touches us the most is walking into the school and seeing how many teachers and staff members know our child by name. Even staff members who may not directly teach our child will say hello, greet them by name, and make them feel recognized and welcomed. That small gesture means so much to a parent. It creates a real sense of belonging and shows how much attention and care the school gives to every child.Knowing that our child goes to school each day surrounded by adults who know them, respect them, encourage them, and genuinely care about their well-being gives us tremendous peace of mind.We are truly grateful to the teachers, staff, and school community for creating such a warm, caring, and supportive environment. We’re very happy that our child is part of this school.
