As a parent of two children who have both gone through Chemung Valley Montessori School, I truly cannot say enough about the experience our family has had. From the moment we walked in, there was a sense of warmth, professionalism, and genuine care that has only continued to grow over the years.One of the things that stands out most is the consistency of the staff. In a time where turnover is common in schools, CVMS has built a team of dedicated, experienced educators who clearly love what they do. That kind of stability matters, and it shows in the relationships they build with students and families. Our children felt known, supported, and challenged in all the right ways.The learning environment is something special. It’s not just about academics. It’s about independence, confidence, and fostering a true love of learning. Both of our children have thrived here, not only academically but socially and emotionally. They’ve developed skills that go far beyond the classroom.Communication with families has always been strong, and we’ve consistently felt like partners in our children’s education. There is a real sense of community here that is hard to find.I also feel incredibly confident about the future of the school. The incoming Head of School brings a level of passion, energy, and commitment that is exactly what this community deserves. There is a clear vision, and it’s exciting to see where things are headed.CVMS has been such an important part of our children’s lives and our family’s journey.
