Posted by a community member on 8/25/2016I loved being at this school instead of some of the rubbish private schools my parents tried sending me to. The teachers were excellent and they cared more about their students on a deeper level. At Hackett i felt at home, everyone was accepting of each other and respectful.

I am a legal professional and have consulted with a family regarding their child's experience at Albany Academy. What I have heard from this family regarding the treatment of their child has propelled me to warn other families. The school offers top notch academic and arts programs. However, their approach to the social and emotional well being of their students can only be viewed (in my opinion) as irresponsible and actually unsafe. If your child struggles with making friends, feeling or looking 'different' or has a history of being bullied I would STRONGLY suggest that you find another spot for your child.
