4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school does not provide extra assistance for students who have a difficult time in Math. Families are told to go to the library and get a tutor instead. This is very disappointing and is not good for students who do not have confidence in themselves to learn the material. I am a legal professional and have consulted with a family regarding their child's experience at Albany Academy. What I have heard from this family regarding the treatment of their child has propelled me to warn other families. The school offers top notch academic and arts programs. However, their approach to the social and emotional well being of their students can only be viewed (in my opinion) as irresponsible and actually unsafe. If your child struggles with making friends, feeling or looking 'different' or has a history of being bullied I would STRONGLY suggest that you find another spot for your child.
