She told me that one of the teachers kept on constantly yelling at her for talking. TALKING! We all have a voice for a reason. Even when she told me that some kid kept on scratching her in the face, she told me that the staff did absolutely NOTHING! HORRIBLE SCHOOL! 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent of a child with an IEP in special education, I am extremely disappointed with my experience in CCSD. My daughter spent more time dealing with bullying than actually learning, and it often felt like the school failed to protect or support her. Unfortunately, I also felt dismissed and unheard by staff throughout the school year.Communication has been very poor. Many times, I would only hear about incidents after a suspension had already been decided, without being fully informed about what actually happened beforehand. Instead of addressing concerns proactively, the schools seem to wait until situations escalate before involving parents.The bullying issues are out of control, and it feels like little to nothing is being done to truly address them. Meetings that should have been happening consistently throughout the year were suddenly pushed at the end, which made them feel more reactive than supportive.I know teachers and staff have difficult jobs, but from my experience, there has been a serious lack of accountability, communication, and support within multiple schools in this district.
