As a former student who had an IEP here, this is the best school in the district for students with an IEP. The people here should get paid more.

This school gets additional funding for being a one-star school and lacks books my other son's 5-star school gets less funding and has more books and resources than this school (direct observation)! Their financial statements should be audited because I can't see the funds going to the kids (personally).If I were zoned for this school I would get a zone variance. 1-star schools are so far below average how can you expect your child to learn. They are the bottom of the National averages. Safety - 2 words - School lockdowns for hours with no communication on if the child is safe. Teachers are instructed to not answer the parent's text or call in lockdown. The special ed program just wants you to keep your child in the program and make up reports to keep getting the funding. The Special ED teacher said he would edit his report and never did!

This school was wonderful before the current Principal was put into place. Since then, they have been unorganized, uncaring, and lack of vision magnet school in CCSD. Very sad to see this once great school go downhill as fast as it did. They had great Teachers who have left and now have good enough (still not magnet caliber). CCSD Administration should look at the practices of this school and use it as an example of “What Not To Do” when finding a Principal without proper experience. Good luck to all others when considering this school.

The worst school my kids have been to everyone was so rude
