Read what parents are saying about Duane D Keller Middle SchoolI would not enroll your children in this school point blank. My sister goes to this school she is in after school music program that it always cancelled without any notice to the parents I can’t tell you how many times I’ve went to pick her up at the time the music practice was finished for her to inform me that it was cancelled and she was out there waiting. Last time was earlier this week and they proceeded to cancel the meeting like always not inform the parents and then kick her out to wait in the cold because no one was in the office… completely outrageous. Her phone was confiscated one time and when I arrived to pick her up she told me they had taken her phone and no one was in the office to give our property back I had to wait till the next day! How can you take a child’s property not inform anyone and not be there so we could pick it up. Notice a pattern? Not to mention there is not a single crossing guard on the areas where most of the children walk so they have to throw themselves into traffic and hope the cars stop and I have seen cars race though the street there is no care or regard for the children or their safety. The festivities and music performances the hold are a complete joke and money grab. Halloween was a joke no decoration no haunted house you had to pay for tickets for games that you couldn’t even see where there because they were just stuff the threw together from stuff they clearly already had the food the sold was ramen cups and chips…I’ve never seen something like that. Then came my sisters music recital again another cheap money grab had to pay to watch her perform spent hours just waiting on the seats for the performance to start because there was absolutely no structure or guidance and the teacher who would only tell and tell the kids to tuck in their shirts could not get control of the room and would just walk away and continue talking. Extremely poorly managed! A complete and utter disaster and just a mess of a school and administration!

Posted by a student on 2/16/2023There is bullying there are people that think there funny as class clowns but most of all there is lots of racism the community is horrible.
Posted by a student on 2/8/2023They don’t care about the community, they are qualified baby sitters and not educators. There discipline process is not equitable especially for Blacks. School is a unsafe environment. Special Education department created a one size fits all IEP plan, not placing students needs first but the SIEF’s schedule first! They never held a family night until the end of year award ceremony and they don’t care about family engagement.

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's been an experience. I send my 5 yr old grand son here an I've had to address issues with the teach hitting him an yelling at him. He's been bullied without a follow up just excuses. His teacher has to be changed for the second time. It's awful. They want me think due to the fact that he's a kinder that he don't know what he's talking about.. I LISTENS TO MY GRANDSON NEVER WILL I NOT.Parent Review4y ago - Stanford Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school! My son started in kinder and is now a 5th grader. Every teacher he has had has been incredible, the staff is so kind, helpful and care so much about our students especially Miss Sonia and Mrs Daniels.. Our principal is Ms Christensen and I can't say even begin to explain how much she cares about her school. She has made sure our students have one to one technology and she rewards the students for hardwork. This school has been a true blessing to my child.Parent Review1y ago - Kirk Adams Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child went to Brookman all k-5 and we love the community feeling at this school. Dr Hall the principal has been and is great. Extremely involved in getting to know the kids and knowing what is going on at school. He's very approachable, understanding and caring. Teachers are great and create great environments for kids to grow. My child has been very happy at this school and always looked forward to being there. My child was able to achieve great accomplishments on her own as well as participating in breaking world records with the school.Parent Review3y ago
