D'vorre & Hall Ober Elementary School

Everyone at this school is wonderful—teachers, aides, and administrators—with the glaring exception of the office staff. They are consistently unfriendly, dismissive, and unhelpful. I’ve spoken with other parents who’ve had the exact same experience, so it’s not just me. It’s baffling that the very people who serve as the first impression of the school cannot manage basic courtesy or professionalism. A welcoming front office should reflect the warmth and excellence of the rest of the school, but instead, it’s an ongoing source of frustration and disappointment. I wish Mr. Hudzick would replace them.

My little suppose to attend ESY here. Start off they called with one meeting for meet and greet the day before with no other date options or meeting options available. Like people don't work and need notice for these things. So there not family friendly, witch crazy were do think kids come from. My daughter is special education so it important for me to meet the human that going be guiding my child. Has I know teacher vessels out here to be aggressive and have poor choice of words when working with students. It like like they set it up so they don't have to meet you. 0 children in mind, zero family engagement, don't ever call the right parent first, zero safety, they promote pride month messing with emotional stability, zero emotional support. Yet you see learning what children are supposed to be doing spectrum or not.

I would not recommend this school to other parents. During my son's 2nd grade year, he experienced bullying that caused significant stress and anxiety. Despite bringing our concerns to the school's attention, we did not feel that adequate action was taken to protect him or resolve the situation.A school should provide a safe and supportive environment for every child, and unfortunately that was not our experience. After repeated concerns and disappointment with how the issue was handled, we made the decision to remove our son and enroll him in a private school.Parents deserve to know that when serious concerns such as bullying arise, they need a school that will respond effectively and prioritize student well-being. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this school and would advise parents to carefully consider other options before enrolling their children.

Such an amazing school. We moved from California and the school has helped our 2nd grader flourish.

Experienced and long-tenured, yes, but never static. These teachers bring curiosity and innovation into their classrooms every day, while taking the time to truly know and champion each student. In a city as fast-moving as Las Vegas, finding that kind of dedicated, personal attention felt like striking gold.And the experience extends well beyond the classroom. The athletics and after-school programs gave our daughter space to explore her interests and build confidence, whether she was on the tennis court or in the art room, she always felt like she belonged.But the thing we treasure most? The community. Dawson cultivates something genuinely rare - a place where families, teachers, and staff are all invested in each other. Our daughter didn't just like going to school. She loved it! And that, more than anything, tells you everything you need to know.
