Tierra Amarilla Elementary School

The entire Chama Valley School system is a joke, it's nothing but a bunch of good ole' boys club trying to get the best school wide grades for funding. As a parent being called in for my child's grades, actually I had asked prior for this visit, he was busy, another time it was the same thing. When it came time for me to deal with a bullying issue, time and time again, he was busy, example the news was there to report on no heat in the building. I was told by the counselor that if my child had a problem to keep documentation and try to figure out a meeting time with the principal because she didn't have authority to handle it, once again it's more about damage control and a good report card for the state for funding. You don't even want to know the incompetence of the principal at the Chama Elementary/middle school, he isn't even allowed to be at the high school due to inappropriate behavior with the female student body, yet he is a principal somewhere else in the district. Good ole' boys club! It's not about giving your child a safe, encouraging, decent education, it's about the school grades and sports and damage control.
