Desert Montessori School

Not much in way of special services for slower learners. Gym only once a week. The principle and teachers are definitely a 'good ole boy's club'.Inexperienced principle.

The school I believe does not want to listen to the parents about how the teachers conduct and integrity is lacking. The Nurse is mazing and the Kindergarten and 1st grade homeroom teachers are great. But the Principal, secretary and the PE teacher have issues that for as a parent is concerning. I may transfer my child to another school.

The worst experience. There is no structure at Kearney elementary. My daughter was continually bullied, the principal does not take the issue of bullying seriously. I didn't feel like my kids were safe here. Moved them mid year and they are already thriving at their new school, test scores have gone up and they have learned so much in less than a month.

Hasta ahora ha sido una buena escuela.

Really wonderful directors, faculty and parent community. We looked at all the private and some public schools in Santa Fe and are so happy with Desert Montessori. Our child is in third grade and is thriving. Loves to go school, is challenged academically, and also has made great friends. Fabulous art and music program too.

Was a student at NMSD from when I was a 2 years old to the day I graduated, so this school basically my entire educated. This school offer many opportunities and experienced that apply the real world, most importantly proud being a deaf or hard of hearing person with many successful deaf role model, mentors, teachers, coaches, and peers.
