Read what parents are saying about Early College High SchoolThe focus of the school goes beyond providing education for students--it helps students plan their future. Students are required to adapt quick to the school environment, where regular classes go twice as fast compared to other schools that surrounds it because the course is only one semester long instead of two semesters. Because of that, students almost complete their high school graduation requirements while still being a sophomore! Students spend their remaining two years working on their Associate's degree, and most of them, if they do not change career paths, even get to work in their Bachelor's degree for their last semester of their high school senior year! The school pays for all college expenses, high school classes are really of good help, the school is guarded by charismatic securities all the time, has the most wonderful yet small campus in New Mexico, and students have access to different technological tools--there are IPad tablets and laptops available in almost every classroom, almost every classroom contains three good-quality smart boards that are located around the classroom, there is a Mac lab available for students, and laptops available for check out for students if they need access to one from home. To conclude, it was a great exeprience and I love the different engineering, medical, criminal justice, along with other careers, that the school offers. Your kid will obtain a good education here and will be helped by the school to go beyond just a high school graduation. Although the school name, grade level, and contact info are incorrect. I was a junior when it was finally from grade levels 9-12. Now it is called Arrowhead Park Early College High School, from grade levels 9-12, and the address is now 3600 Arrowhead Dr, Las Cruces, NM, 88011, which is in the New Mexico State University area and just a few blocks away from its previous location. I hope this gets fixed.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has a lot of negatives but the primary issue with this school is they do not want parents around and it is generally unsafe for children. This school is very unfriendly to parents and frequently yell at parents and are rude and unkind, They have a huge sign in the lobby that says no parents beyond this point but really they mean no parents are welcome at this school. When my child was in kinder and struggled to walk to class on her own the office worker would run up to me and tell me I could not walk her a few feet to her classroom as she was crying. Then this year I picked her up early they had me show my id and put it in a machine to verify my identify, which is great for safety, my daughter never came she walked right out the side door of the school and wandered the parking lot looking for me. If parents are not allowed to help there children then someone better be helping them. This school just cannot be trusted. There is no transparency between teachers and parents, no communication, and the staff does not communicate between each other. yesterday I was taking my daughter to the bookfair as I was chased down by someone office worker yelling "MAM; MAM MAM EXCUSE ME"-- scaring my daughter, I explained I was going to the bookfair she said "DIDN'T. YOU SEE THE BIG YELLOW SIGN THAT SAYS NO PARENTS!!" screaming at me in front of my child. I let her know I would verify this with the librarian and she said YOU BETTER. There is really no reason for screaming when she could just as easily walked up to me and talked to me like a human being. As I arrived to the bookfair parents and children were there and many more parents arrived. Unnecessarily rude treatment by staff to parents. This school does not want parents around and feels they are an unnecessary part of their children education, it is also sad when school personal treat other so rudely but try to teach children values of kindness and good character-- it just does not line up.Parent Review1y ago - Tombaugh Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to go to this school from 2008 to 2013. Unfortunately I had to move out of state or I would've stayed as long as I could. The teachers are passionate about their work and are very good at their job (in my opinion). There were lots of programs in my years of education like music, art ,PE. We even learned Chinese everyday.Parent Review8y ago - Las Cruces Academy
