Read what parents are saying about La Mesa Elementary SchoolThe teachers here at La Mesa have been working hard to improve the student success rate. They are very community based and help out families that need the help. The parents that I have met here have also been very supportive of the staff and the things that they do to help our kids. This school has done alot to help the children grow and learn. Thank you La Mesa for all you do!!
Posted by a parent on 8/26/2023Terrible special education department. Very little communication from teachers. Great bilingual program for people needing a bilingual education. But, getting a d on school report card shows how they are lacking.

The bilingual program it's pretty strong and the parent involvement also. All the the teachers and staff are very dedicated to the students and their families

Emerson is a strong school that struggles academically due to above mentioned issues yet teachers are dedicated and resilient as are the kids.Teacher Review3y ago - Hawthorne Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHave had so many problems with this school. Highly recommend NOT putting your in this school. My kids have been bullied and the teachers / principal does nothing about it. My daughter was hit by a boy and they only made the boy pick up trash in the play ground 1 day. There's no communication what so ever with the administration, and most of the administration are just rude and highly unprofessional. The nurse is not there full time just an assistant and she cant do everything a nuse can. With no nurse full time and lack of communication, I hope every day there's not an emergency. If it's not one thing it's another with this school. My kids strongly dislike this school and I agree with them. The only good thing about this school is the special education department they have helped my kids alot in areas they struggle in.Parent Review2y ago - Inez Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two children who attend Inez and we are all extremely pleased with the education and environment of the school. Ms. Casey the Principal is excellent. You know that she truly cares about each and every student. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone is safe. I have even seen her walking through the surrounding neighborhoods making sure kids cross streets safely. The school has a wonderful program where neighborhood volunteers (cleared by APS) watching out and helping kids walking to school. So far every teacher has been very good. We've had some new teachers and the only complaint I have is that they might be a little too enthusiastic. I highly recommend Inez, it's a great school for academics and for community. The motto is "Be the Good" and they truly practice and teach that.Parent Review1y ago - Mark Twain Elementary School

The staff's main priority is the children's education and keeping our children safe with love and grace. I highly recommend this school to everyone.Parent Review10mo ago - Our Lady Of The Assumption Catholic School
