I love this school! The teachers are wonderful, the front office staff is kind and the Principals are fun and inviting. I am so glad that my son goes to school here.
Posted by a principal on 5/24/2022I have moved and still take my son so this school. The teachers truely care about the children and I feel at peace knowing he is in good hands. My son is not the easiest child to work with but they do it and they are very loving!

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI've seen parents belittled over questions about the curriculum and concerns about how conflicts between students are resolved. They will send both aggressor and defender to counselor to "resolve" issues. Causing the student that is asking for help to be treated the same as the other. I believe this encourages the children NOT to ask for mediation when needed from the teacher because they too will have to miss out on whatever is going on, as well as having to be near the person that they are having issues with even more. There are numerous examples of favoritism and inequality of how students are treated and graded. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDoors get shut/phones hung up/and phone calls never returned/no updates/ rude remarks/UNPROFESSIONALso be sure to not have any major issues because there won't be ANY resolutions. everything will get pushed aside and no steps to make changes are established WITH the parent or school for that matter.my biggest fear is losing a child and it clearly isnt important to this school because even walking into the office saying " i have child safety concerns" isn't enough to get their attention.They missplaced my 6yr old TWICE and had no idea how they lost track of my child. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been at HAW for 2 years so far and love it. My son started in Kinder and was reading by the end of the year. I feel like he has learned a lot so far! My daughter is in the prek and they both love it here and we have liked the teachers so far. So far we have had good communication with teachers through class dojo and they also allow for volunteers. We especially love the 4 day week. My son does recieve a lot of hw but I like it bc i can see his progress and what he’s doing so I’m not in the dark about his academics. They also have quite a few activities throughout the year to bring the community together. They do wear uniforms but get special days to wear other things.
