Read what parents are saying about Alameda Elementary SchoolI love you angel you are so cool!
Posted by a parent on 3/16/2021We were very satisfied for the first two and a half years but Penelope Broussard created an unwelcoming environment I would not be comfortable leaving my children in.
Posted by a parent on 2/23/2019I cannot say enough great things about this school. My child has been given great learning opportunities within this little diamond in the rough. The school is small, diverse and a title one. It is a great school to have in our community where Mustang Spirit becomes contagious! Alice Braden and her staff are professional, polite and open to communication regarding your child. It has been a wonderful experience for my son in his first year of learning. I highly recommend this school to anyone who is fortunate to get in!

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m a parent of a mid-school student and he was starving for a smaller school community. He received smaller class sizes, teacher attentiveness which helped him grab concepts easier, and well rounded with all the extra curricular activities offered.Parent Review8mo ago - Cottonwood Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey decided to remove my child from the school for the safety of other children there. There wasn’t any danger going on near the school or around by the way. My son was 2 years old, he didn’t deserve to be removed, the school took no precaution to keep my son safe at all times. What an entitled and fake privileged place to raise a child. It’s New Mexico god sakes, there really shouldn’t be a thing for exclusivity in education here since most children are already ranked lower in education than most other states. Sad they chose to “protect” the rich children and thrown my child out without a fair hearing. Highly do not recommend.Parent Review4mo ago - Mountain View Private Elementary

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average"Hired" for teaching science but quickly discovered they wanted a baby sitter, not a teacher. First clue was when they switched books mid-quarter. Most students had dismal math skills and with no prerequisites, they struggled with fundamentals. Second clue surfaced when no course standard could be found. The school had no standard. The accrediting agency had no standard. And State standards did not apply to a private school. Therefore, anything could be taught for high school graduation. Ironically, the school was applying for dual-credit status where a course would count as college credit for those who wanted to pay for it. In practice, teaching an AP level curriculum to some while instructing others in rudimentary math would have been impossible. In addition, sports took priority - pulling students from class, keeping them out late and missing class the next day, and injuries requiring doctor visits during class time. I lasted six weeks but the die had already been cast. Most students were granted mask and vaccine waivers, thus alienating students under restrictions. One student was clinically depressed, another had Lupus, and a third hyper-sensitive to noise. Achievement goals of the school listed on the website are outstanding ... if only the administration followed them. I am now tutoring students struggling in various classes at this school. I am a retired military officer, retired STEM educator, and > 1800 tutoring hours. I volunteer and never took a penny.Other Review2y ago
