My son is leaving Kawameeh Middle school this year! The teachers are super friendly and go above and beyond to help their students! Kawameeh is like a family, we love it! Thank you Mr. Malanda for all you do for our children!

The other half are the kinds who just care about the grades, yell at you, and make you copy down a bunch of notes. The school building itself is decent, but the boys' bathroo
Posted by a student on 5/26/2021im a student at Kawameeh and love it, most teachers are very helpful. the classrooms are nice and the school has been doing very well with Covid precautions. i totally recommend sending your child here. most of the homework we receive is needed though some of it can be useless in my opinion. overall

Their teachers maintain great communication in class tag and class dojo. The basketball team is really just fundamentals and they have cute parties for the kids throughout the school year. They have a great staff who are very good with engaging with parents. The school curriculum is very well challenging. My daughter was in the Gifted and Talented program and has advanced very well in this. The school is very diverse and with many cultures there are beautiful cultural programs inclusive to all students. Moving from NYC it was refreshing to see this.As for as education as a whole, the school is very well versed in all subjects. Even during Covid our child although did not like remote learning, she was very well engaged with her school work because of her amazing teachers. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe looks of this school are very much deceiving. The Principal and some teachers are not as patient and understanding with special needs students. They are quick to send them home rather than addressing the child's needs properly. There is much lack of professionalism and support while working with special needs students. As a parent this school was the biggest headache endured while my child attended until finally being removed.
