St. Casimir Elementary School

I have had two children and five grandchildren go to Delanco. Two of my grandchildren currently attend. I was also a former student at Delanco school. We love that the school is in town and the children are able to safely walk there. The small town atmosphere enhances the district and the teachers are amazing! Another facet not often highlighted is the school is attached to a Public Library which in itself is fantastic. The librarians are so helpful and often provide after school activities and clubs that relate to space and legos and are very engaging! They also hold craft afternoons , have free computers and printing facilities, movies to borrow and even host historical evenings with guest speakers. This is something that should be shouted from the rooftops and highlighted as it is very unique attribute to have a public school directly connected to a such a wonderful resource. Delanco school and Delanco public library are fantastic assets to our community and small town! I do not think the library and school have been fairly represented on review forums. Many of the teachers and even the vice principal are former students of the district and are successful educators in their own right with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

If you’re brown, stay away. You will not have the same experience as the people who have given this school district 5 stars.

This school is not worth the investment. There is no structure and my child was not provided help when she needed it. Preschool was ok. Elementary was not good at all. For math, my child was working on the large bead frame the whole year. We moved our child to a nearby private school. She is now a straight A student. Choose one of the other private schools. Your child will do better. Parents can easily track how your child is doing.

The school has a new administration that has been nothing short of a disaster since the start of the school year. It was my child’s first year as a Kindergarten student and we are already looking into new schools. There has just been one red flag after another all year long with this principal’s mishandling and poor judgment regarding safety, planning, disorganized communications, the list goes on and on. They recently hired a new Director of Enrollment and Retention and somehow she is making things even worse in just three months time. She is rude, unable to properly plan, schedule and communicate events and is very quick to blame a parent for her mishandling of situations. She was hired to retain families but is the main reason that we are leaving this school. And classroom size is massive! My child has 26 students in their Kindergarten class. That should have been reason enough to pull him but I wanted to give our parish school a chance. Big mistake. Teachers seem good but completely overwhelmed. The terrible administration also likes to try and blame teachers for their miscommunications. Lots of finger pointing and blaming of others and no accountability or willingness to listen to parent concerns. I would not recommend this school to others.
