Read what parents are saying about Newgrange School & EducationalWonderful, caring staff that truly educates children with special needs. The entire staff knows each child, by name, as well as that child's individual strengths and needs. Children use various reading programs including Orton Gillingham and Wilson's Reading program in a setting that promotes hands on learning though multi-sensory activities. Writing, too is taught using a metacognitive process, supplemented with visual aides. Math is very individualized with children progressing at their own pace using the Otter Creek program, and using hands on manipulative items to support group learning. Science is observation and hands on in nature, using the web for video supplement and using other visual materials . Each class has a project that incorporates all the basic skills that are being learned. Each child is accountable for his/her own behavior, and the staff takes nothing personal. The schedule makes sense with academics first and foremost early in the day. Technology is used to assist children with most facets of the day, both as an individual needs it or as it supplements the entire class. All NJ schools should strive to teach unique learners in this manner.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 kids at CP. Academically, both are doing very well for their age group. I can see this based on how they recently performed in a Kumon assessment, which is not tied to a particular school system or program. The CP curriculum is a dual English/Spanish language program with Math taught in Spanish. I was very happy to see how well they placed in the Kumon math assessment considering it was in English, but they are learning math in Spanish. I love that the CP academic program and teachers prepare students so well academically while also giving them the gift of an additional language and all of the exposure that brings. I am very, very pleased with CP.Parent Review3mo ago - Littlebrook School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm a teacher at Princeton Friends School, and it is by far the most amazing school I've worked at. All of my colleagues are so dedicated to giving the best education possible to our students, both academically and socially. Our academics are top-notch: students learn how to use their voice in English through storytelling, poetry writing, and memoir; they explore the outdoors in Science by traveling to the Institute Pond or the Stony Brook and building bike paths in the woods; they tackle hard topics in Social Studies like justice in America; they learn how to become problem solvers in Math; and they express their creativity in Art and Music. We make time each week to focus on social-emotional learning and to build students' sense of responsibility and character. We weave Quaker testimonies such as peace, integrity, equity, and stewardship into our curricular programming, and we build our community of learners through whole-school activities each Friday.I hope you will join us!Teacher Review2mo ago - The Lewis School & Clinic for Educational Therapy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe Lewis School has a tight knit community with an outstanding faculty. Children with dyslexia learn how to learn, and repair the fundamental mechanics of language. Students with IEPs receive additional support, as my children did, but this support only helps children compensate for their learning differences.Parent Review1y ago - St Paul School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall my children are happy to go to school everyday and as a result are learning. The school challenges them academically and sets high expectations for them to reach. Values are still taught and instilled so they are learning compassion, respect and discipline giving them tools to be successful after they graduate.Parent Review3y ago
