School 2 initially has a "bad rap" for being a school with a higher population of special needs children. This is because our prek programs that include early intervention for prek3 and prek4 are housed at School 2. I've been with School 2 since my first child (who has been here since age 4 with an IEP since he was 2.5 years old. I saw my child come from being mostly non-verbal in kindergarten into a child who has since them graduated and over-achieves in exams and is able to express himself socially at the IS. I give alot of credit to his teachers who always communicated with me and guided me to how we can also help him at him. Two of my other children currently go to this school. They love going to school and they love their teachers. School Administration from the Principal, the Guidance Counselor, the Nurse, to the Custodians, have been thoroughly engaged. What I love most is that the after school clubs are mostly run by the teachers through PTA initiatives. I believe over the years there has been a growing sense of community and participation between the families, the admin, and teachers into making School 2 a truly special place for our kids. If you feel apprehensive about coming here...just give it a shot!

Having served as a class parent for the past two years, I have had the privilege of working closely with the teachers at ACS. The dedication and care that the educators show toward their students is truly remarkable, and I feel incredibly fortunate that my daughter is a part of such a nurturing environment.The after-school care program, known as SACC, is another highlight of ACS. It provides excellent supervision for students and ensures they can participate in various after-school activities offered by local businesses, such as ballet, yoga, rec. center classes, taekwondo, etc. This variety not only enriches their after-school experience but also fosters a sense of community involvement.The ACS community is vibrant and supportive, encompassing everyone from the friendly crossing guards to the Home and School Association and the committed teachers. This collaborative atmosphere makes ACS not just a school but a true community hub where children can thrive both academically and socially. Overall, I highly recommend ACS for any family looking for a caring and enriching educational experience.

My brother and I attended and graduated our Montessori School back in 2004 & 2005. Expressing my gratitude is long overdue. I went to pursue a career in business and currently have my daughter attending Children’s Home. Just like my Montessori journey as a child was filled with opportunities to fulfill my endless curiosity, I see my child doing the same. It’s so precious. The leadership at the school is an inspiring example to us all. Thank you to all my extraordinary teachers. I hold you dear in my heart until this day.

Teachers don’t last too long. Administration is constantly asking for money. There's a lot of bullying going on. Addressing the problem with the administration is an ordeal. Administration immediately bully and threaten you. Their main purpose is to collect money through our kids. They are constantly coming up with a new activity for the kids. Therefore, they are adding a new bill to your account automatically. They don't even ask if you want your kid to participate. They have a dress down day every other day. If you don't pay for the dress down everybody knows your kid didn't pay because she is wearing uniform. They came up with class funds money request that are supposedly used to fund the class activities. They say that any remaining balance will be carried over to the next grade. The next semester comes and it’s the same money request. Not to mention that the activities don’t compensate the amount paid. They enforce you to participate in the fund raising activities in a very uncomfortable way. These funds raising are separate from the standard obligated donation fees. Administration doesn’t feel the need to clarify any financial questions.

We moved our child from public school to CTA because the public school was actively searching for fake reasons to assign him special services. The difference between the schools was dramatic. We highly recommend this school !!! The homework load is sufficiently high and the quality of education is great. This is what we need.

We have sent our three babies to The Green House Preschool and Kindergarten because there is no other early childhood school like it! Everything is top notch but what has kept us coming back year after year and child after child is due to the level of love, care, dedication, and knowledge all the teachers, assistants, and directors have in their field! WE ONLY WANT THE VERY BEST FOR EACH OF OUR BABIES AND WE HAVE FOUND IT AT THE GREEN HOUSE PRESCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN!
