Read what parents are saying about Northfield Community Middle SchoolI was a student at the former "Mill Road" school and had a great experience growing up in Northfield. I moved back here to raise my children. My son is a student at Northfield Community and he absolutely loves it! The teachers and staff are so friendly and they even have an "ice cream social" before they start kindergarten! The curriculum so far has been both enlightening and challenging for my child, I really don't know how it could be improved upon.
Posted by a parent on 7/31/2015Improvements to STEM program and new principal hires have made this a great school district. The school has made strides to go above and beyond, and other nearby districts are coming in to the school to copy their successful programs.

It has not changed since the 2011 the teachers still favor the popular kids and actually help the bullies when given the chance. The only thing anti-bully about this school is the poster hanging on the wall and it ends there.
Posted by a parent on 5/15/2013Before i moved to NJ, I looked at the schools and reports. I ended up moving into Northfield and have to say I am so happy I did. I think the school system is very good.. The education is superb. The facility is in great shape and teachers care a great deal about the students.
Posted by a parent on 2/8/2013Sadly the locals of Northfield state "Northfield schools are highly rated like Linwood". "Top school in south Jersey?!?"Look up test scores & it's easily revealed they are not even close! For Elem. & Middle school, you have to live Linwood if you want a decent education for your child. Unfortunately, once a student reaches high school it's on to Mainland High.....another inferior choice as it's terrible. There is one all boys private prep school for high school down there, but it is a good drive to get there. (at least a 1/2 hour commute) People looking at relocating do your research online prior to moving!

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNorthfield Community is up there with the best in South Jersey. There is a bias towards Linwood public schools in the area, but as far as innovative education is concerned I think Northfield is ahead of the entire area. I know teachers in both districts and my kids have attended both schools. The parents on here complaining seem like they simply do not want to put in any effort with their children and are self-enabling by blaming the schools. 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids and niece and nephew have been going there for a few years now and they've had a decent experience. Not many programs, if any. Sports have to be joined out of school. Most of the teachers are awesome! At least, the ones they've had. They help out the kids, talk to them, are helpful, and very supportive. That's it. The teachers make the school because the school doesn't have much else to say for itself. But that's just our experience. Nothing to brag about except that we taught them well enough to stay out of trouble and the teachers were supportive enough to back that up.
