South Seventeenth Street Elementary School

This school has been nothing but a complete disappointment from start to finish. They somehow managed to “lose” important requirements and documents, which already shows a shocking level of disorganization and lack of accountability. On top of that, the quality of teaching is absolutely terrible—lessons feel unstructured, unengaging, and it’s clear that many of the teachers either don’t care or simply aren’t qualified to be in a classroom. The attitudes of the staff are just as bad; instead of being supportive and professional, they come across as rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help students succeed. It’s incredibly frustrating as a parent to see your child placed in an environment where the people responsible for their education act like they don’t even want to be there.And to make matters worse, even the security staff contribute to the negative atmosphere—one security guard spoke to me with a completely unnecessary attitude, as if basic respect and courtesy were too much to ask for.

They don't actually care about student's that get bullied they barley do anything about it and later act like it never happened

This is a very good school and I very like my daughter going there more kids should go

The worse experience for my 2 kids, they were bulling by teachers , because of their skin color they were out of sports activities, my daughter participated in the cheerleader team they won first place but the pictures of the group where she was they didn't posted because she was the only white girl in the team ,ashameStaff members unprofessional and without education and manners they talk like the on the streets , thanks God I got my kids out of there ,now in 4 months in a new school they both got awarded for their work ,math and reading achievements. Sorry to said this but if you got white kids dont send them to this school you'll be sorry

My daughter's teacher Mrs. Bookhart made the school year great! She's a fantastic teacher! Her caring dedication was shown consistently through the school year.

I want to start off by saying, this school is trying very hard to be the best in their town and that’s the problem they are not thinking outside of the town. If the parents don’t care. Neither will the staff.

My daughter has been attending Groove at elementary since kindergarten, and she is on her way to the third grade. I enjoy how the teachers and staff are dedicated to the students well being and most of all academic.. My only problem would be that they don't send notices out in a timely fashion.. It's usually the day before if not the day of.
