Read what parents are saying about Ridge Street Elementary SchoolSuch an excellent school. From the school culture to the staff efforts and student achievement I am so happy my daughter is graduating from here this year. Homework does not equivalate to achievement. My daughter does not bring home homework in the 8th grade. But she does independent-level practice via the Lexia app to improve reading and Aleks for math help. My daughter is a straight-A student and I owe it to Ridge Street! Thanks for everything <3

Posted by a parent on 11/2/2021I have been to the school, and i know that they definately do give work. It is most likely that your son just doesnt want to do homework and is lying to you. Check with his teachers, ask for progress report, and check the papers you sign, because if they are hidden, or he doesnt explain them, they are probably important paters, like report cards, or progress reports.
Posted by a community member on 2/27/2013This is the best school I have ever attended. The prinicpal knows every student by name! He is kind not to mention the staff. I don't remember a time I was happier then when I was in Ridge Street. They took us in lots of trips and they provided a good academic programs. I would recommend this school to anyone!
Posted by a community member on 6/8/2012I still don't know how his school rating is so high. My son is in the 8th grade and he hardly bring homework to the house. He alsways bring the same homework 1 or 2 exercises to finish from the math class and sometimes a paragraph to write for the writing class. I haven't seeing him reading or doing anything else. My daughter is on the 2nd grade in another school and have more homework than him. I am very disapointed. Will l what are they teaching him during the day? .

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a former teacher at Elliott Street for 4 years before moving to Florida. Elliott Street has high standards and expectations to ensure students are getting the education they deserve. I won’t lie, it is hard work but very rewarding. I had the pleasure to have worked with both Ms. Johnson and Ms. Desantis. Both principals were very professional and approachable. The coaches were always willing to work with me and answer any questions I had. The school building is so modern and full of technology. If you love teaching and are willing to put in the hard work, I definitely recommend working here. If you are a parent looking for a school to enroll your child in, this is a very great school. The rating provided does not take into account the academics of the primary grades, the fact that Elliott has many bilingual students who struggle with English, and students with specials needs. Do not let a rating be the determining factor! Visit the school, meet the staff members, and form your own opinion.Parent Review1y ago - Belleville PS4

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son has been a student at St. Peter School for 4 years now. We are so Blessed to have him in a school where everyone is a family. The teachers work together for the same goal. Parents and children become more than just classmates. He has learned so much so far. Thank you Mrs. Sisco for being a great leader.Parent Review3y ago - St. Francis Xavier School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy husband and I decided to enroll our four year old daughter in Pre-K at St. Francis Xavier due to its convenient location and reasonable tuition (just slightly more than Forest Glen's Pre-K program which is part of the Bloomfield public school system). We also loved the idea of having our daughter receive a catholic school education to help reinforce what we teach her at home. SFX has been absolutely wonderful! The Principal is really devoted to the school and making sure the curriculum is the best that it can be. One of the best parts is that the school is small, so it gives the kids an opportunity to form great relationships with both the staff and their peers. I definitely recommend SFX school! - Lucy LT.Parent Review8y ago - New Park School
