Read what parents are saying about Mt Olive High SchoolAbsolutely horrific school system and administration. Lackluster performance across the board. Woke policies enabling bullying and immoral behavior. No control over students. Completely enabling the dumbing-down of society. Mount Olive school system is a joke. Not one you can laugh at, however.
Posted by a parent on 3/2/2022This is a great school, caring teachers and administration. I am shocked by Great Schools rating metrics. This school system as a whole consistently scores good/higher? Check out "NICHE". com for school ratings. Mount Olive has A+ schools. I have raised 4 children in Mount Olive. This school system has produced academically prepared and bright students who are engaged in and attending good colleges and universities....In fact they are flourishing. PS> If your child has learning differences this an amazing, helpful district to have your child at.
Posted by a parent on 3/3/2021This school is nationally ranked by US News and World report, and the top 54 high schools in NJ (out of 866), and NJ ranks #2 in all states for education. They just added a new biotechnology lab that is state of the art, humanoid robotics, a fleet of drones, and a MATE robotics team complete with a room-sized saltwater tank (I think it's 15 feet by 5 feet) to practice with the robot for competitions, this is in addition to a freshman FLL robotics team and an upper-class FLL robotics team, the music program received a national award (band, chorus, orchestra, 2 jazz bands, a rock n roll band). This school district is highly supportive of STEM and Arts. The drama club is fantastic too. Teachers stretch students to acheive their highest potential. My child is currently attending this school, so I am speaking from experience of having a child in the program.
Posted by a parent on 12/30/2018Great school, great programs, great academics... we made a mistake of sending our elder son over to Morris County VoTech thinking academics are better there... but in reality MOHS is better bet. I am seeing kids from here go to Johns Hopkins, Georgetown and lots of high ranked colleges. Fantastic extra curricular programs, new buildings are fantastic. There is a new energy amongst the high schoolers, I am seeing a stronger focus amongst them. Our neighbor's daughter told me her Robotics program encouraged her to get into Comp Science... lots of students getting into colleges for Medicine, fundamental physics... the list goes on. I heartily recommend this school.
Posted by a parent on 2/25/2015Difficult to see this school ranking continues to go down. Does anybody know why ?

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school is just laughable. bullying was such a significant issue when i went here. some teachers were amazing and knew the material and how to make class engaging. others couldn’t reach at all, would teach false information, made lectures very confusing, and didn’t know how to properly talk to students. the administration is a huge joke. when i confided in them about my bullying, i was told parents would be involved and would be called. not a single phone call was made and the issue was shoved under the rug. no punishments were enforced either. the school prioritizes new chromebooks annually for every single grade (K-8) rather than the mental stability and wellness of the students. when the school had a dangerous threat, kids were sobbing their eyes out and were terrified of what would happen. administration did not allow a single student to go home. instead, they held an assembly while preaching that we were one small family. not to mention, there is literally no air conditioning except for the principal’s office. during warmer weather, classrooms can get INCREDIBLY humid. this school also CONSTANTLY cuts the budget for any art and music programs. with barely any clubs, and one sport available at this school, it’s mediocre at best. unless you hate your child, i’d steer clear of this school. it’s not worth the constant anxiety, panic attacks, and depression i had throughout my 8 years of attendingOther Review1y ago - Jefferson Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was my daughter's first introduction to education in the USA and it's an incredible school. Her Kindergarten teacher created the most nurturing and positive environment for the class that my daugher couldn't wait to go to school every day. Her 1st grade teacher was the most supportive and caring teacher I've had the privilege to meet. The head teacher believes passionately in the school and her students. Safety is Paramount and I felt happy sending my child into school every day. Parent interaction and school community is so strong here. The active PTA work so hard to provide fun and engaging events for the kids and their families. We were very sad to move out of State and leave this wonderful school.Parent Review3mo ago - Little Learner Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school has no cameras in its entire facility which is very alarming to me. Compared to other day cares, children do not learn or advance in absolutely anything. Some of the teachers are fine, it is the administration and front desk. I am a very laid back parent but when I start Being worried if my child might possibly not be being treated well at a place because of how much he dreads going to it. , I have to start wondering about it. We are much happier where we are now and I am starting to see the changes and improvements in absolutely every single aspect of my child just like I was before our small stay at this day care.Parent Review5mo ago - St Michael Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children have attended St. Mikes since PreK. The school joined The Catholic Academy of Sussex County 2 yrs ago. Since then, the Academy has integrated the 8th gr classes from 4 catholic elementary schools into a separate wing at Pope John XXIII H,S. Pope John heads the Academy; St. Mikes, Rev Brown, St. Joes & Immaculate Conception are all part of this Academy. The concept is great, because it gives the students an opportunity to experience the rigors of HS without negatively impacting their GPA. They get a preview of how to move about the classes without having to crisscross the entire campus and they get to meet many of the students they will be going to HS with. By attending an Academy school, students will automatically be accepted into Pope John for HS. I have a child who will be attending the 8th grade program this fall & we are excited to see how the year pans out. The small school environment has been a wonderful experience. The teachers know each child; there is a real sense of family. Mr.Jackson, the Principal, works tirelessly to make sure St.Mikes has every technological advancement available. We love SMS & are blessed to able to send our children to this school!!!Parent Review10y ago - American Christian School
