Posted by a parent on 3/21/2022The minute you walk in the doors of John Brainerd school you immediately feel welcome! This school has given my kids an amazing experience! The teachers and staff are there to help every child that enters the school and they do so willingly! The downfall is the parking and pick up and drop off.
Posted by a parent on 5/24/2016My daughter has gone through pre-k through 2nd grade at Brainerd School. We have had great teachers and staff who encourage my child and all students that I have seen over the years. Lots of fun activities for the kids and a great all around district.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had too many issues to list and yes I agree with an above writer about it being a tough environment once you have any problems with a teacher. There is no reprimand for the teachers or even the principal at this point as the superintendent are longtime friends. The staff is unprofessional an hold no accountability. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFrom my own personal experience, my daughter with quite a few disabilities has been suspended multiple times for stuff as simple as just being overly emotional. They have yet to even try to accommodate her special needs but instead just pushed her into being homeschooled by an outside program. I’m over all not happy with our experience here but I give them at-least 3 stars because my 1st daughter went here too and there was only one racism incident in which her teacher handled very well. However, I do strongly feel that they need diversity within the teachers and staff. I’m hoping for some positive changes with the new principal.Parent Review1y ago - Florence L.
